Speed brakes / spoilers...

On some of my aircraft you can implement 'incremental' speed brakes that you can notch up a point at a time, but on my POSKY 747, it's kind of an all or nothing deal. You jump from 'armed' to full out which doesn't do well on descent. I like to be able to incrementally set the speed brake until I'm slow enough that I can start my 'flaps down' operation. Is there a scalar I can fix in the aircraft.cfg to adjust this?Thanks,

Get the registered version of FSUIPC and you can increment your spoilers to your hearts content.Peter

Disable spoilers in FS9 controls and assign spoilers inc and spoilers dec in through FSUIPC. The user guide has detailed instructions how to do it.If you have a joystick axis free you should assign that insteadPeter

This is a very good idea! Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!I did as Peter suggested and it works! My flightstick throttle was just collecting dust since I have a CHPro Throttle for my all of my thrust needs. I assigned it to my spoilers and it works! Variable spoilers, what a concept. One of my jets doesn't work well though, the Global Express seems to have issues so they are either up or down but the armed spoiler feature seems to work OK.Thanks again.dolph

I use the CH throttle quadrant and mostly fly jets, so i use the left-most "condition" lever as a spoiler control. Assigning an axis is even easier with FSUIPC and you dont need to use spoiler inc or dec assignments. Just assign the axis to spoiler and calibrate it. You can even set a null zone for arming the spoiler for auto deployment on landing....though this last bit is a bit hit and miss for the PMDG 737.Peter
