Video in FS9

Featured Replies

HiWhere are the videos store on the hardrive??Peter

If you are talking about flights you have recorded in FS2004 using XP as your operating system, the Help file says they are stored at:C:Documents and Settingsyour user nameMy DocumentsFlight Simulator Files and have a .fsr extension.

HiWhat kind of program do i need to convert that file to video file??Peter

Unfortunately, you cannot convert the fsr file to a "normal" video format - but..........You will need to use a screen capture program which records your flight "live".Most of us use the program called FRAPS but there are others such as Camtasia and if memory serves ScreenHunter also has video version. All are payware but I believe all have a free trial download available. The resulting video file is usually quite large and in the case of FRAPS, is in AVI format. There are tools available to convert to a less space consuming video format and even the windows movie maker can be used for some basic editing.Just Google the names I mentioned to find the sites and trial downloads.Hope this is helpful
