VHHX 9Dragons Guide Slope

Featured Replies

Hi all, when using the PDMG 744 to fly into 9Dragons excellent Kai Tak the GS appears to be right of the two red markers on the buildings, I would imagine you should fly between these markers to enable a correct turn onto rw 13 ?The data for the IGS13 approach I am using is supplied in the "extras" folder and manually added to the 747.Does anybody else experience similar or have corrected data I could use for this approach.Have searched the PDMG forum with no luck so thought I would try here. Thanks JohnCore2 Duo 66002048 MB DDR160GB HDDNVidia 7950 512mbCH Products Yoke & Pedals & Throttle QuadHead TrackerRC4AShttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg

Have you got the latest 9D afcad in there? This would determine the line of the IGS.

Hi Max, can you clarify what you mean ? all I have installed is 9Dragons V2 and updated it to V2.1 and added the nav data from the extras folder to the 744.Do I need to update the afcad and if so from where ?Regards JohnCore2 Duo 66002048 MB DDR160GB HDDNVidia 7950 512mbCH Products Yoke & PedalsHead TrackerRC4AShttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg

Hi,AFAIK you follow the IGS (and the GS) down to the point where you can see the beacons (on the ground or on the buildings) that curve around to the airport. Once you see those beacons you fly a visual approach to the runway.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

As Tom says follow the beacons!!I tend to fly the PMDG 747 into Kai tak by following the igs to a point just after VHHH then you can see a bridge which will steer you roughly towards the tower lights once you see the lights good luck:-) There is a great discription on the PMDG wiki page ,its well worth a read if you like to fly into the TAKhttp://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/VHHX_...perb_simulationMark

You should still be roughly tracking the IGS beam as per a normal approach, until you disconnect and turn. Regardless of where you disconnect, the IGS beam should be in line with the lighting - in between the two reds. The afcad with the scenery is spot on for me. The navdata shouldn't make a difference. PM Clutch Cargo on here and he can help, if he doesn't spot this topic and dive in first. He made the 9D.
