Available display resolutions

Featured Replies

Hi,the problem is the following:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/187530.jpgas you can see, I've got a double list of display resolutions. It's interesting because if I choose one of the upper list, it saves the setting but shows as if I had selected it from the lower list.I tried reinstalling FS and my graphics card driver without any result. It also causes some problems (black line appears on some panels) which wasn't the case with the 'normal' list.Any ideas how to solve this?Thank you,Rob

Take a look at your FS9.cfg file.Does it have more than one reference to a Video Card?It should reference the one you currently have installed and will look something like this: (actual card name etc will match what you have)[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS.0]If there is more than one reference - and it or they refer to a different, perhaps older card you have replaced, make a backup copy of your FS9.cfg file and then delete your current one.FS will rebuild it when you start the program and only your current card should be included. See if that possibly corrects the double display issue you now have.FS does not always "see" a new card and rebuilding your FS9.cfg file is the best way to assure it does.Multiple references might occur if you changed your Video card recently. There may be older video drivers on your system (left over from a previous card) and this also may be contributing to the confusion.Just some rambling ideas which hopefully may help you track down the culprit.
