May 9, 200818 yr Hi all:Ok I was just starting to run Filemon today and yes it records a lot.Anyways I can see in the logs that I can see all the files that FS9 is looking for and perhaps can't find (effects, textures, etc) which is fine.Question: It's also stating that certain DLL's (i.e. msacm32, d3d8thk, dxdiagn, nv4_disp .dll to name a few) aren't found in my root FS9 directory but then immediately finds them in my winntsystem32 directory. Should I make a copy of all those DLL's in my root FS9 directory to save on search times?or am I just not grasping on how this stuff works?ThanksPaul. Paul
May 10, 200818 yr Hi PaulFilemon will only tell you part of what is going on, at that time, and moving a few files to a particular Subdirectory will not affect the overall performance, significantly. It is normally used to diagnose a Path problem, when you write your own code, mostly. To look up / find another file, on another Subdirectory, if it does exist, it
