August 13, 200817 yr Hi AllFriend of mine cannot get his 'F2' key to operate his reverse thrust. I had a look under 'key assignments' & strangely it is not listed? So i could not re-asign that key. He has changed his keyboard (a bit drastic i know) but it still does'nt work. What if he deletes his FS9 c.f.g. file & re-starts? Any suggestions please?CheersRod
August 13, 200817 yr It IS in your Assignments list - the entry to look for is Throttle Decrease Quickly - Hope that helps.
August 13, 200817 yr Just to add..... engines must be at idle for reverse to work, so F1 followed by F2 usually works. Also, if a joystick/yoke is being used make sure that the throttle is calibrated with a bit of a dead zone at the Off end.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
August 14, 200817 yr Can't believe i missed it! Will get my mate to see if his is still listed. Many Thanks
August 14, 200817 yr Thanks i will pass that on. Incidentally, i have the force feedback 2 stick & it has performed well but i have never had the confidence to calibrate it so it performs 'reverse thrust' (just used 'F2' ).Is it very hard to do?CheersRod
August 14, 200817 yr Hi,When you calibrate the throttle, stop the throttle a bit from the off end. This doesn't trigger reversers, just idle. You still need to use F2.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
