Possible virus

Featured Replies

Hello,I'm not to sure if my system has caught a virus. I have recently installed MS Office XP, but I have noticed that when I start up, I get a background application running under the name of ctfmon. I've runa virus search but no joy. If I try to end the program, it gives program not responding message. I then close the end the program, only to find that if starts up again later. Is this a virus or is this a common application that other people have? If it is a virus, is there anyway to remove it.Also I've tried windows (ME) selective start up and have removed the program from initial startup, but it still runs - Registry (per user-run)???Please can anyone shed any light on thisRegards
