How To Insert a sepcific Sound into my Aircraft?

Featured Replies

Hello,I would like to have the typical Airbus roaring Sound in my aircraft. I downloaded an airbus soundpack, including this specific file, copied the file I would like to add into my planes sound folder and also copied the Sound.cfg line belonging to this sound into my planes sound.cfg but the sound is not hearable. What do I make wrong? Thanks for any help

Install the entire Airbus sound package into your Airbus' SOUND folder. Then you should hear it.Check the Aircraft Container SDK for details on how to edit the sound.cfg file - you can't just add lines willy nilly.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555857Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

But downloading flap und rumbling sounds and adding them to the sound folder does work so why can't I do it with the JetWhine?

Hello Steffen,Flap and rumbling sounds are probably already in the sound.cfg, that is why you can hear them. If I understand correctly you want to add that "grinding" sound special to Airbus aircraft, (Engines, CFM-5B - IAE 2500V).I am not sure if this will work but try this : Download a sound pack with this particular sound and try to find the correponding line, copy it in your sound.cfg. Also, try this in both sound folders : The aircraft (the one you desire to have this sound) and the main FS sound folder.Of course if you have already experimented this ignore my post :)Good luck
