I am not a graphics artist ...I'd find it more important to remove the ugly DOS box and replace it with a state of the art GUI.

You could just choose an icon you like and assign it to the shortcut with properties -> Change icon...

It is better than the one the system chose on installation.If I were designing one I would have a globe (or part of a globe) shown as a mosaic of tiles.B
