FS2002 Error Message

Featured Replies

I had to reinstall FS2002 and I can't get it to run for more than 5 minutes. I keep getting error message showing that ntdll.dll is the problem. Any suggestions on how to fix.WinXPDX9GeForce 4 TI4200512 DDR Ram

Try running system file checker and reinstalling ntdll.dll. I use W98 and it shows up in my system directory.

Along with the reinstallation of FS2002, did you reinstall WinXP or any drivers for controller chips, sound, graphics cards, etc.? If so, you may need to check for updated drivers for the above. If you didn't install WinXP SP1 or pre-SP2 updates, you need to do that also.If you didn't do any of the above and you are having this problem, then it is something within the FS2002 load. I would try uninstalling FS2002 completely, including deleting any residual fs2002 folders left from the uninstall, then reinstall a fresh copy.Prior to installing any add-ons, make sure the default fs2002 is working correctly.NTDLL.DLL is a major file that can cause the CTDs or errors to occur. It controls many functions in the underlying OS and locating the source of the CTDs or errors may be difficult.

Thanks for the info. When the problem first started I did do a reinstall of FS2002. It must be in one of the addons that I put on. I will also load the service pack first to see if this helps. Then I will go back and do a fresh install of FS. Anything I need to know about SP1? Have heard good and bad about it.
