April 3, 200323 yr The 16 stranded aircraft at Meigs were allowed to leave yesterday, via taxiway departures.
April 3, 200323 yr I hope there is a way they can sue Daly! According the what I have read, the spokeperson for the FAA said that there isn't much legally that can be done, that sucks! Regards, Michaelhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpg Best, Michael KDFW
April 3, 200323 yr If I were one of the aircraft owners and went to Meigs for a visit and found myself trapped and unable to return to work or whatever, you can bet Id be in my attorneys office right now.Craig
April 3, 200323 yr Go check out the AOPA site (www.aopa.org). They're gearing up to throw everything they can at Daley. The best part is, if they can't get the airport re-opened, they're going to try to make Daley's life miserable. Go get 'em!AOPA also mentioned that the airport workers were secretly surveying the aircraft that were parked at Meigs overnight for the last week. Apparently they wanted to choose a night to commit their crime that wouldn't strand an aircraft too large to take off from the taxiway. How kind of them!Dan
