April 4, 200323 yr Hi all,I have been trying, with not a lot of succes, to use the new russian AN24 panel.has anybody managed to use it, and would anyone be prepared to give me some instruction? Thanks in advanceDan.
April 4, 200323 yr Dan,I have been using it (or tying to...) but to operate the panel correctly we need instructions (in english!). I e-mailed the author asking whether he could provide us with a panel manual in eng1ish. Sould I get an answer I will post it here. To help a little, get the panel manual that came out with the original An-24 for FS2000 because same gauges (e.g. the autopilot) are similar.RegardsEdmundo--------------------------http://pwp.netcabo.pt/ega Edmundo Azevedo
April 4, 200323 yr Hi Edmundo,Do you have a link for that panel manual?, it sure is a nice panel and it would be a shame to not be able to use it.ThanksDan
April 4, 200323 yr DanYou could just download the 'old' FS2000 AN-24RV from the file library here and you'll get the manual with it.I've found that the manual works for engine startup, but that the autopilot's a little different. I can't get it to hold an altitude (yet!!!) and am mainly just enjoying flying manually. In my opinion the AN-24B could do with a better 'performance model'. Mine climbs like an F-16 and is a b--ger to trim to level flight.Apart from that, just stick with it, press a few buttons, flick a few switches and I'm sure you'll start to enjoy this panel. Superb quality for freeware.Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
April 4, 200323 yr If someone was willing to do the interpritation I would be willing to do an english version to the panel.http://www3.telus.net/midget_ice/Radar_small.gifThis ain't no game kid!http://www3.telus.net/midget_ice/Radar_small.gifhttp://www3.telus.net/midget_ice/dansig.jpg
