December 23, 200817 yr Hi gentlmen,I need your help. I have tried to readout the magnetic variations from the FSX but I believe I do something wrong. When I read the FS9 magdec.bgl, all is ok - when I use the same code with the FSX magdec.bgl, I get wrong values (tested with my homebase LOWW 48N/16E - i get 3.3
December 26, 200817 yr Commercial Member I don't think the code is any different, magnetic declination in FSX is calculated for a recent date, while FS9 magdec values are very old. A difference of a few degrees makes sense.Regards,Wade

December 28, 200817 yr Hi Richard, great to hear, that you try to implement my suggestion regarding the fs9 magvar which I made some time ago. But consider that you also have to change the headings in the procedure files (Holdings, Radials, maintain rwy hdg until xxx.)But for a first version it would be enough to correct the rwy and ILS/LOC headings in the airports file. Try to contact Herv
December 28, 200817 yr Commercial Member The Level-D 767 is the only aircraft that doesn't seem to react on changes to the magdec.bgl. I assume it uses its own database. Jan-PaulWe calculated magvar internally in the 767. I've changed that for the 757. We read the FS BGL instead.Wade
