December 28, 200817 yr With my specs below, would my FSX performance increase with the latest CPU I can get for my specs below?Tim
December 28, 200817 yr Commercial Member Hi TimWith FSX it's mostly all about CPU speed so the first place to start is overclocking your Q6600. Have you tried? Every extra bit you can get will help, as long as you system remains stable of course. 3GHz should be possible...If you do not want to oc then the newer Intel 45nm quads do bring more cache and a higher FSB to the party which also helps. The Q9650 at 3GHz is the best non-extreme quad core out there. You would have to confirm though that the Q9650 is available as an update for your Dell.Hope this helps!Konrad Konrad

December 29, 200817 yr I don't think you can over clock with a Dell. Then again I don't know much about the XPS series since I'm on a normal Dimension.
