What Service For High Resolution In British Columbia

Featured Replies

I have no issue with TP8 and have had a couple of great flights. Haven't used TP in ages back to when CB first came forward with the earliest version. At that time, I used g**gle earth service. I understand that this is no longer possible (or at least I think so). I want to fly Vancouver Island, and g**gle has great high resolution over large areas. I have tried the three other services under the new version and they are not providing clear higher resolution for Vancouver Island.I tried the older, used to work above service and all I get are black tiles. Does anyone know of a service that provides higher resolution for areas in British Columbia and in particular Vancouver Island? If you have anything else you might be able to provide privately please PM me.

Here is the selection of Orthophotos that Govt of BC offers free at their website currently. You would need to compile into BGL files and add color (take a landsat image and remove black and white from it, then overlay over black and white areas.A bit of work overall.http://wms-sites.com/catalog/British-Colum...CALB_1995_2004/

Thank you for your comments. I actually work for the BC Govt and have access to high res photos if I were really wanting to go to all the work of pulling together some great photo scenery. We used to be be able to access g**gle service for TileProxy and now it appears we can't. G**gle has excellent high resolution coverage of areas in BC but most of the others are very poor. I was hoping to still be able to access a service that would allow me once again to fly areas in BC in higher resolution. I tried to configure TP so that I could get g**gle to work again but couldn't.

Nope, no more G***** service at all. At their request. More info available in the sticky thread announcing the new beta.

:( :( :( Nuff said! I am disappointed. Hopefully some of the others "catch" up to gobbledegoop soon.
