Fsx Freezes All The Time...

Featured Replies

Hey guys...I know all of you have heard this alot of times but none of the topics on the intenet help me out.... This is the problem :When i start a flight, mostly with PMDG's MC Douglas MD11 from Amsterdam to London Heathrow , at top of Descent Fsx freezes... just hearing sound but the screen freezes ( except of mouse pointer ). If you wait for 3 minutes ( :( ) it will tell you that fsx has stopped working. Fsx does this all the time. It really ####### me of. Sometimes i save the game a little while before the crash ( just luck ). Then when i load it i can play again , but still in some time it will crash again .These are my computer stats : GPU : GTX 280RAM: 2GB DDR3 1800 MHzCPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550I thnk that will do . Please help me out with this one ... Thx,Maverick

RAM: 2GB DDR3 1800 MHz
I'll go out on a limb and say you need to double that.

Well fsx uses alot of that Ram... Its shows it uses about 89 % of ram . But when RAM is the problem sometimes fsx says : Virtual memory is up ( ? ) or something like that and it restarts... these times it doesnt say anything :/EDIT: I just closed all backgroud programs that were open and nothing helped . ( maybe it saved a little time when playing )I have used fsx load programs that save memory... -> Nothingnow what ?PS* I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit

Maverick,Sounds like you may be having the display driver has stopped responding error. Also have you checked with event viewer to see exactly what the error is? i.e. is FSX hanging and causing the problem or is your display driver hanging.....or??
