December 30, 200817 yr Jim S--I recently reinstalled AS6.5 and I have registered FSUIPC--during cruise with A/P engaged and altitude set in MCP/FMC, I'm getting annoying altitude bumps of between 40-100 feet. I deselected VAS/vertical air in options section of AS6.5, but still have the altitude "wandering" around the set altitude. I seem to recall a post or two from the community which talked about a workaround--sloppy altitude hold. This started when I reinstalled AS6.5.I am aware that FS9 itself has altitude "holes or spikes" over the N Atlantic and a few other places, but the anomoly I described above happens all over and in all my aircraft (Level D, PMDG, PSS, Wilco).Any thoughts?ThanksR Perry

December 31, 200817 yr Author Hi,A few things:Wind drift rate at zero?FSUIPC Wind Smoothing Control On?Thanks,JimJim--thanksFSUIPC wind smoothing is checked in AS6.5 options, wind drift rate is located where? Just to confirm, FSUIPC weather settings should be off? The post I alluded to seemed to suggest an FSUIPC setting within the wind tab in order to mitigate the issue I described above.Rich
January 1, 200917 yr Hi,Wind drift rate is in a box in the middle column of options. Yes FSUIPC wind smoothing On and FSUIPC weather settings Off in FSUIPC.Thanks,
