Hi Jim, When I switched back there would be snow for less than a second then back to clear. When I took off, about halfway down the runway it started snowing and the vis dropped. Then, on climbout, it got clear again. It's almost as though the region depicted for KSLC is tiny (like only within a few feet of the tower.) This happened to me the first day I used ASA. On a flight to Aspen I was above cloud, popped out to great vis and VFR, then popped into cloud (that didn't exist seconds ago) and snow, then clear until right above the threshold, then as I touched down snow and low viz. I also had insane wind shears at each pop. Thanks!Eddie
