ILS approach into Portland, Oregon, runway 28L - Fix?

Recommended Posts

Tried an ILS approach into Portland, Oregon, runway 28L.The ILS brings you down to the END of the runway, not the threshold (checked with EFIS)!Looked for a fix on Avsim and Flightsim but no luck.Anybody know of one? Thanks.

Search AVSIM.com for usnwils.zip by John Kramer.:-waveThere is another fix, which I can not remember, that corrects most all problem ILS situations. I used it and I have no problem at KPDX.

There's also a utility, which I believe is on flightsim.com, that allows you to fix any problem Navaid.... Can't remember the name, but I believe this may trigger someone's memory... I'd like to say it's something simple, like navfix.... But my memory's a bit too foggy...

I believe the navaid repair utility to which you're referring is available on AVSIM by searching for en2k400.zip and is called EasyNavs 2000 by Herve Sors. By using this program in conjunction with AFCAD, one can fix most any troubled navaid or even input new ones. I've used it extensively and am very grateful to Mr. Sors and Mr. Swordy.Kevin
