Real World Real-time PIREPS

Recommended Posts

READ: This is just for entertainment to help learn and kill time. Please do not expect the PIREPs from real-world pilots to match ASA or any version of MSFS. Do not complain to HiFi about these conditions not appearing in FS, because they most likely won't. Thank you! :( Now, I never knew you could see these, let alone with such a great interface. A UUA entered PIREP 045 degrees and 11 NM from ONT (KONT) at 8,000 feet in a 737 reporting severe turbulence:pirep01yr9.jpgThe one in the W side of Nevada with the blue circle was from this guy in UAL 158, reporting smooth turbulence:pirep02fo7.jpgPretty cool!NOAA PIREP Java linkWiki on PIREPSPIREP and WX AbbreviationsYou need Java installed and enabled in your browser to use the map and tools.

ONT is just ONT. He's 11 miles out on the 045 radial of the ONT VOR. It would say KONT045011 if it were the airport.

Normally, yes, but I don't see an ONT VOR: AirNav link AirNav doesn't list an ONT VOR either in their navaid database, so unless it's real new. :(
