January 11, 200917 yr Hi,The suggested settings are FSUIPC wind settings off and ASA DWC on. That way ASA DWC handles the winds. Thanks!
January 13, 200917 yr Hi,The suggested settings are FSUIPC wind settings off and ASA DWC on. That way ASA DWC handles the winds. Thanks!Hey Jim, thanks for moving the topic. But how does ASA DWC compare to ASX-smoothing at the arrival? In ASX, the arrival winds could actually be quite unrealistic because of the smoothing processes involved. Has DWC reduced or nullified this affect, perhaps because of the new quad-interpolation techniquies? I am getting ready to turn off all FSUIPC weather affects (button) but still wonder what direct comparisions have been made directly between the two. Thanks again and regards, Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
January 14, 200917 yr Hi,With DWC winds should always be spot on for the entire flight. I don't know the programming differences, but with smoothing in ASX we were manipulating the wind data differently so that what was reported in ASX was not always what was seen in FSX, but we were smoothing out all the data internally. Thanks,
