January 14, 200917 yr Apologies if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find any reference to this specific issue following a search.Whenever I fly into VHHX runway 13 using an instrument approach via the IGS; approach does not transfer me to the tower until I'm lined up with the runway which is too late. Is this because of the curved approach and the IGS and if so can I do anything about fudging it to work properly? Thanks in advance.P.S. Its Fly Tampha Kai Tak. Stephen Munn
January 19, 200917 yr I have bought Radar Contact some weeks ago (so I'm still not an expert), but as far as I know, this problem seems to be related with the fact that Radar Contact does not monitor offset ILS approaches (as it does not have a STAR/IAC database). Radar Contact waits until you're aligned with runway to tranfer you to tower. One possible solution would be to request visual approach when you're near the runway.
