April 13, 200323 yr Hello,I'm just moving into learning to fly a 727 (Captain Sim) - my first "big iron" airplane. Does anyone know of a flight tutorial for the 727 - especially for approach and landing? I have taught myself to fly GA singles and twins and am now finding the "non - electonic" sims really great. I have an "Iron knuckes DC9 with a great tutorial. My 727 - whick I would rather fly (better range) is really a mystery to me for landing!!!Thanks,Ron [email protected]
April 14, 200323 yr If you check in the CS forum, there are a couple of good posts regarding tips for landings and approaches. A copule websites may help: http://www.boeing-727.com/ is nice and also go to the avsim library and search for '727 operations'. There is a really nice manual that should be the first thing there, and has Vspeeds and that kind of thing, but also some procedural information with tips on landing, taxiing, takeoffs, climbout, etc. Some nice diagrams in there. This site: http://www.esscoaircraft.com/airman1.html also sells official ops manuals if you're interested. Both of these sources would help for 'by the book' ops.Have Fun,Marc Gibsonhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

April 14, 200323 yr Author Thanks for the help!!!The AvSim Library -727 Operations has a manual for the operations. After some hard work, maybe I'll be able to get this thing onto a runway without scrapping up the pieces. Thanks again,Ron Sagel
