January 17, 200917 yr I've been trying out the Windows 7 Beta, and I've been having a lot of problems getting VoxATC working reliably. Just wondering if anyone else has got this working without any problems on W7?Thanks for any replies.
January 29, 200917 yr I did get VoxAtc working in Windows 7, what I had to do is set the installer to XPSP2 compatability mode. Once I did that everthing installed and it works well. I didn't find the voice recongnition section int control panel until I selected "show all"Hope that works for youHarald
January 29, 200917 yr Author Thanks for the reply. I've just realised that I didn't mention that it was W7 64-bit. I think this might have been the cause of my issues, which were the following:The panel application failed to run, it would just crash. I worked around this by manually editing the panel file. The speech recognition would lag and often fail to recognise what I was saying. I suspect this may be more to do with the 64-bit sound driver, though.Generally, it did work, but unreliably.I didn't try the compatibility mode on the installer, I might give this a go again in future. In the end, I've given up and put back Vista 32, and all is ok again. I might have another go in the future.
