Jason,I'm sorry you feel this way. The MD-11 was extensively beta tested in both FS9 and FSX, however taking into account the fact, that there are potentially 100,000's of different hardware configurations and software configurations the same below that, I am sure you can appreciate that some things are going to slip through. This is the case here, this is the case with Crysis, this is the case with MS Windows, and in fact with any application. I understand you are having issues with this particular software, on your machine with your particular configuration, just as some have had issues with other software on their particular software and hardware configurations with which you may have no problem at all. It's just bad luck in this case. I on the other hand, have no such issue with the simulation within FSX or FS9, so it would seem the problem configuration dependent, and as with any configuration dependent fault, it can be missed.I really hope (as I would expect from a rational and sensible person) that your first port of call was the PMDG support with your order number, to give them a chance at rectifying your issues, if not I would say it is very dissappointing that you chose to post this first. What makes it even more dissappointing is that despite knowing that the 747 you had previously bought was of such high quality, you didn't immediately think something might be a miss and what you were seeing certainly not as it was intended. For me, it would have immediately rung alarm bells and I'd know that this was some glitch the team would be more than happy to help me resolve. As for the visual models not being as good as those for the 747, I am afraid you are incorrect here, it is not a case of opinion, it is a cold hard fact. The MD-11 is very detailed, and PMDG have consitently improved their sim aircraft with every release. The FS9 and FSX versions of the 747 are excellent, but they are not as good as the MD-11 in terms of their visuals. I can give you specific examples where items were improved dramatically which you can take a look at more closely if you'd like. Here is one, in the VC which you may have missed, take a very close look at the 747 FMC, visually it is not even close to the MD-11, try taking a closer look at your FMC buttons for example, what happens when you push them in the 747 VC and in the MD-11 VC, notice the key difference here? There are many more of these examples I can think of.If you'd like help, we are a really friendly community here, the PMDG team (of which I am not a member) are very friendly, and always willing to help. However, I can not understand why you believe being negative and in some cases insulting could possibly help you solve your problems. Like all of us, all you want is a working MD-11 simulation, and your post doesn't lend itself to you actually getting this (ignoring requests for hardware details etc). If the MD-11 simulation problem was preventing you getting to work, or causing you particular stress then I could understand your anger, but it isn't, a resolution might not be instant, but getting in touch, working through the problem, providing requested information using the support mechanism, I am confident would fix it, and not only that, but a resolution in your case may help others with similar issues. Please I would stress, I have no intention to cause any offense! I too would be dissappointed if something I got home didn't work as I wanted it to, but I'd like to turn this thread around, into something constructive so the team and everyone else too can help you with your issue. We all enjoy the same hobby, none of us like it when one of the group is having trouble, we are here to help, that's what this forum is here for! :) Let us know asap how the various suggestions have done in resolving any problems and we can move on to other suggestions then.CheersCraig
