January 31, 200917 yr I've just got a new set of speakers and WOW, what a difference. I can hear some beautiful sounds now, especially the cabin shaking when F50 are selected, very nice!I have one question, I can now hear a strange sound upon touchdown. It occurs upon main-wheel touchdown and then again as the nose-wheel makes contact. It sounds like a muffled trumpet, or to be a bit more crude, like somone breaking wind! :( What is it?Regards,Martin

January 31, 200917 yr Commercial Member What your hear is NOT the spoiler lever moving, but the motor/mechansim driving the spoiler lever. This sound can be heard with or without having the spoilers armed, like in the real aircraft. The interesting thing is, this sound can have a different volume throughout the MD-11 fleet, on some you hear it more than on others...Markus Markus Burkhard
