Control assignments and settings config?

Recommended Posts

Hello All,I was wondering if anyone knew where or what config file in FS9 the yoke and throttles settings are kept, you know, the ones e change in the assignment section. I've lost mine and do have a backup of the complete sim as it was, however I don't know which file that would be, or where it would be located . . . I've searched but as of yet I can't seem to identify those settings in any of the config files.Anyone? Thanks in advance,Clay

In your fs9.cfg file.Keep in mind, if you move USB devices to a different USB slot, just coping the fs9.cfg file will not work.Everytime you move a USB device to a different usb slot, fs9 will lose it's assignments.Your assignments will be under a section looking something like this:[JOYSTICK_MAIN {001A98373-FD11-11FF-8672-56569700883545500}]If you have not moved your usb devices around, then you should be able to just copy and paste the section in.If you did move your joystick to a different usb port, start fs9, make one assignment change and close fs9. A new section in the fs9.cfg will be created. Then copy and paste just the assignsmnets, under the newly created [JOYSTICK_MAIN {001A98373-FD11-11FF-8672-56569700883545500}] section.RJEdit: If you don't want your assignments to ever change, under the [JOYSTICK_MAIN {001A98373-FD11-11FF-8672-56569700883545500}] sectionadded this line: LOCKED=1
