- Help regarding AI Smooth
Hi Rupayan and Kurt I've never used AI Smooth so I can't offer much help there. I saw no point using AI Smooth because as Kurt mentions, Traffic Zapper in FSUIPC works good while on the ground, or if you need a gate spot opened up. For situations where you're on final, I've assigned my space bar key to "Traffic density toggle" within FSUIPC. If AI come near me on final, or I don't want to execute a go-around because of Al on the runway, I press the space bar key and all AI are gone. One second later, I press the space bar key again and AI are all back, but have been reset. AI Problem solved. I also use the "Traffic density toggle" feature when flying IFR and when approaching my assigned altitude by ATC. When you approach 250ft before your assigned altitude, sometimes ATC is busy talking with other AI, and you're forced to level off. I never found that realistic, so now when I approach that 250ft zone, and ATC is busy talking, I press the space bar key, all AI are gone, and ATC now immediately clears me higher. No need to level off. How to assign "Traffic density toggle" to your space bar using FSUIPC. 1. Start FS2004. 2. Open FSUIPC (Modules). 3. Click on "Keys Presses" tab. 4. Click on "set" 5. Press the space bar key (or any other key you wish). 6. Under "Control sent when keys pressed" select "Traffic density toggle". 7. Press OK. That should update the FSUIPC.ini file with: [Keys] 1=32,8,1009,0 Do the same for Traffic Zapper. I assigned the "Delete" key. This updates FSUIPC.ini with: 2=46,8,1079,0 Instead of doing the steps above, you could also just open the "FSUIPC.ini" file, and under the [Keys] section add these lines: [Keys] 1=32,8,1009,0 2=46,8,1079,0 Keep in mind, if you use those values in your FSUIPC.ini file, the Space bar will be assigned to "Traffic density toggle" and your delete key will be assigned to "Traffic Zapper". If you want to use other keys, use the steps above. RJ- Delta plane crashes while landing in Toronto from Minneapoli

Hi Martin Maybe your model is just "simulating" a real life occurrence of Airbus's nose gear issues?- New preview shots

DTG Flight School is not a full fledged simulator. Have you heard of "Microsoft Flight"? The intended audience of DTG Flight School is not targeted for "hardcore" simmers. Try it and have fun...... Patience is a virtue.. RJ- What simulator do you use...

bhahahaha.... So ture....- Dovetail - Anyone biting?
Will pass on DTG Flight School (not what I require). Will wait and watch when DTG Flight Smulator is released. In no rush to move to something "new", until such time, the "new" SIM is "new" and has future potential.- Stupid PPL exam questions
These are hard questions.... I'll only tackle the first one.- Swedflight AFCADs
RJ - Swedflight AFCADs
Hi Martin. First I don't have SwedFlight scenery installed.... so I downloaded ESGP from here. I then ran the "swe_pack_4.exe" installer pointing it to a dummy folder. I found folder "esgp" and moved it to my "Default" FS9 folder and activated. I can confirm that I'm seeing the same problem you mention. (When starting at ESGP and selecting rwy 4, I'm placed at the same location as your photo. If I remove file "ESGP.bgl" from the "esgp" scenery folder, then you are placed in the correction location. With the file "ESGP.bgl" removed, the starting location works OK with the default AFCAD. With the file "ESGP.bgl" removed, and when using the AFCAD file "SWFL_AF2_ESGP.bgl" which I downloaded from here it works ok as well. I don't have any trees on any runways, so those must be coming from a another BGL file from the "swe_pack_4.exe" installer. A landclass file maybe? I didn't test much to see how the scenery is affected by removing file "ESGP.bgl". You mention it's an exclude file? Maybe make a new exclude file and remove "ESGP.bgl". RJ- I am having a blast... According to Boeing, a 787 now takes off or lands every 57 seconds... Boeing has a 787 flight tracker found here. RJ- BOEING 727-100F BY TENNKU DESIGN STUDIO (TDS)
I don't think there is a FS9 version of the TDS 727-100F? Is there? RJ- B747s/A380s almost always sent to GA Parking. Any 'fix'?
My apologies. I copied and pasted the wrong line in my post above Tom. I use the lines as you listed (which are the same used in my AI aircarft.cfg's and work), but do not work for my user aircraft. Note: This is for FS2004, not FSX. Strange how it works for some, and not for others. VIP parking that Opa shared works, provided you make a unique aircraft model radius adjustment to match a unique radius in your AFCAD. So, for the last 10+ years of using FS2004, I just ignore ATC and taxi to where I need to go. Dave_YVR, cmpbellsjc, jimburke, and tf51d claim it works in FS2004, so I must be doing something wrong.. Maybe another reason to upgrade to FSX? Hmmmm RJ- B747s/A380s almost always sent to GA Parking. Any 'fix'?
I agree with pschlute. Using: atc_parking_types=(Alrline code) and ensuring a spot with a radius equal or greater has never worked for my user aircraft. Only way to get your user aircraft to the correct gate is using what Opa said: "The concept is quite simple: Basically, ATC directs traffic based on matching the radius of the aircraft to the radius of available parking spaces. If the radius of the aircraft you are flying is unique, and matches a unique parking spot radius, that is where ATC will direct your aircraft and no other aircraft will use that spot."
