Nav radios/Auto vs. Manual

Have noticed from some 757 vids that you can enter a freq. in the nav radio manual mode, switch back to auto, and upon selecting manual again your entered freq. will be remembered. Maybe I am just doing something wrong, but as soon as go back to auto, whatever I entered in the man. mode is gone. Is this feature modeled in the PSS 75? As always, thanks in advance for your input.
