This is what I got from another forum and it works well. Remember to Back up!!!!!!!!!Landing lights are controlled via the "Wing & Runway turn-off" switchesI did not manage yet to assign the landing lights to the corresponding switches in the overhead, therefore the workaroundIf your nickname is "Captain Ultrarealism" and you don't like the artificial navlight & strobe at the tail, just remove the last 2 lines.It's not perfect yet and I will continue to tweak but now it's time for some flying.Add this to the aircraft.cfg of the FS9 bird, no modifications made, just shockwave lights added on top of the default ones.[LIGHTS]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobes, 3=Navigation, 4=Cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=Logolight.0 = 8, -85.231, 23.611, -1.000, fx_PMDG_MD11_winglight,light.1 = 7, -85.231, -23.611, -1.000, fx_PMDG_MD11_winglight,light.2 = 2, -14.500, 0.00, -10.750, fx_PMDG_MD11_LL_Light,light.3 = 9, -7.025, 0.00, 4.263, fx_PMDG_MD11_emerlights,light.4 = 1, -84.420, 0.00, 11.200, fx_shockwave_beaconh light.5 = 1, -138.850, 0.00, -8.900, fx_shockwave_beaconb light.6 = 5, -28.500, 0.00, -9.750, fx_shockwave_landing_light_double // ShockWave light light.7 = 8, -20.100, 8.10, -3.300, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down // ShockWave light light.8 = 8, -20.100, -8.10, -3.300, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down // ShockWave lightlight.9 = 3, -194.10, 0.00, 4.72, fx_shockwave_navwhi_l_old, //Position Aftlight.10 = 1, -194.20, 0.00, 3.94, fx_shockwave_strobe_l

I was reading this topic today. Holiday's for me so no time. BUT THANKS!!! for this, i'm verry happy that you already managed this!! I will add it and have enjoy it! Let you know what i think about it! Peter

Still got a question:I noticed that the red anti collision light is not really a flash. More like a rotating beacon.... is there a way to make this a real flashing light? And the wing High Intensity lights are so small? Is this a problem at my config? Our is this a limitation?Because the light at the tail and, wich i removed more like it in real, is verry bright... and good flash! So is there a way to add that brightness and flash to the anti collision lights and high intensity at the wingtips?Peter

I too would like to know if there is a way to improve the strobe and beacon lights on the MD-11. They just don't look that great.Shawn

Kind Regards,
