Carabou comes back to FSX SP2!

Featured Replies

Hi Folks - I heard that the Australian Air Force was planning on retiring their DH Caribous's sometime in the future possibly earlier than expected. This reminded me that I really missed not having a good Caribou to fly in FSX. I was involved with aircraft maintenance of the Caribou while serving in Vietnam (1968) with USAF so the plane has a special place in my mind. I checked around and found that Alphasim had one for FS2004 so I e-mailed them asking if it would work in FSX. To make a long story short (after a couple of back and forth e-mails), Phil at Alphasim said they would modify their fs9 Caribou to work well in FSX! Now, that's what I call customer service. Well, I downloaded the FSX version and it works well in FSX SP2 - reminds me of the real plane. One feature I really enjoy are the reversable props which make STOL landing a blast. Howard
