How can I make AI planes smoke system on?

Featured Replies

I'm using a really cool formation flying tool (FSX AI Formation Toys - Version 4) but I want my AI planes to have smoke systems turned on so I can find them easily at a distance (I don't like having aircraft labels turned on - not very realistic). In the aircraft.cfg file I added:[smokesystem]Smokesystem Available=1Smoke Enabled=1smoke.0=-4.00, -11.00, -2.00, alphajet_rsmoke.1=-6.00, -11.00, -2.00, alphajet_wsmoke.2=-8.00, -11.00, -2.00, alphajet_bBut I can seem to "force" the AI planes to turn on their smoke systems. Has anyone overcome this issue? Should I use Y instead of 1... (grasping at straws here.) :( http://alphajetsusa.com/http://home.comcast.net/~bimmer4011/ (flight simulator website)

I meant to say above that I CAN NOT get the AI planes to fly with smoke on. Does anyone know how to get AI planes to fly with smoke turned on?

There is an entry in the Airfile for smoke that might need to be set in table 344, that said there are a great number of restrictions to what the developers have to work with using AI aircraft and effects , you might be better off changing the temperature that they make contrails.
