VISTA SP2 & FSX

Featured Replies

Tested the new SP2 of Vista (64bit) and the results are encouraging.Setup: C2D E8500/4.0ghz/AsusP5Qpro/XFX285-1gig/DDR2-2x2gig 1100. Video drivers 182.051. Installed SP2 64bit (beta RC), everything went smoothly;2. Rebooter twice and defragged twice;note: it inserts a text on the desktop: evaluation blabla. But no worry if your Vista was legit before, it is not affected.Test FSX sp2my ref. flight: B737 end of rwy at KORD. NoAI,NoTraffic,Autogen Scen & Complex at DENSE, Water fx at Low2x. Everything else at MAX.AA is at 4X, AF x16, Vsync Off thru Nhancer 2.45Results: I get a substantial increase from 70fps to 77fps in average readings.note: I installed and re-installed SP2 twice without problems. Of course your mileage may vary.PierreTAsp2PERF.png]
