HELP! 747-400x keeps on climbinng...

Hello after reaching crz altitude the 747-400 just keeps on climbing with VS of +6000!!! on my EICAS panel i get "altitude allert".Has this something to do with te fact that i've past TA and that the barometer is not set to "std"?thanks in advanceGilles

No. This has something to do with your piloting. You didn't provide enough info to isolate the cause, it could be you are not in VNAV. A screen shot would help us help you.
