assigning keys

Recommended Posts

i have the saitek yoke & throttle quadrant and am trying to program the buttons to work on the pmdg 747. i have had no problem changing key strokes to button functions on the fs2004. the problem comes when i try to apply buttons to the pmdg. functions that are applicable to pmdg but dont exist on fs2004, such as toga, auto throttle disconnect, auto pilot - on & auto pilot - off, is where i run into problems. i go into pmdg menu/general/keyboard commands & assign the key strokes. when i program these same key strokes into the saitek buttons, nothing happens. can anyone tell me what im doing wrong? thanks for any help, steve

I think I'm correct in saying you can't assign those items in the way you're saying. If you read the User guide in the latest FSUIPC ver. 3.90, I believe there's a section in there descibing how to create a Macro, which you then assign to a key to perform the actions you want. Never done it, so can't be more specific, but the FSUIPC User Guide will give you a good idea on the direction you need to take.Russell.
