Question about Minimums and FSX

FSX is really poor at displaying solid OVC as well all know. So how do you tell if you can really see the airport or not once you're at minimums? Case in point: VOR Ry 3 circle to land ry 9 @ KDLH. I descend to 1920 and in game I can "see" the approach lights/runway. But if this were real world I don't think I could see anything at all.
