ASA (FSX) Testing - Change Options

Featured Replies

Hi Jim et al,I'm playing with the new B406 beta on my wide-client and I'm having a bit of trouble getting the reduced visibility layers as well as trying different ASA option-sliders to get my preferred settings. With both FSX and ASA active, is it possible to change ASA options in an active session without having to restart ASA and/or FSX? What I'm noticing is, if I make a change to an ASA option (slider), I then see 'options changed' in ASA's log window, but then it seems that FSX weather will hang and not update, even though ASA synthises and depiction-output have turned back on (green). But, it seems that it may not be a specific ASA issue as much as some sort of stuck weather cache issue in FSX itself. It seems that after I change an ASA option, if I then force a preselect weather theme from within FSX's weather menu, let it set for a minute or two, and then use the refresh button in ASA to force it back online, it seems to re-ignite the ASA to FSX process.Basically, how can I reliablly change ASA options without having to restart each sesssion?Thanks...

Hi Al,If you really want to be sure, it requires clean re-startups. Some settings are locked in, but I am really not sure which ones, so re-starts are suggested. I do realize this takes some time. Thanks,
