May 10, 200917 yr Evening,I messed up big time....My Fs-X installation has been messed up by my own stupid mistake. While installing the different packages of FTX, I forgot to read the manual (what could be easier than to install an addon...?)Well, the different installations (3 to be precise) had to be done by the book. Since I didn't follow the manual,I now find myself in a situation in which the original textures of Fs-X are gone....Can anybody give me directions where I could find them on the original DVD's., knowing that I also have theacceleration addon installed....At this point, I fear I have to reinstall everything (which I dread) so all possible solutions are more thanwelcomeThanksLuc BrusselmansBelgium

Then, get that ever files you need from the new install, save them in a safe place (I keep a full original in my backup drive). Then delete the new installed FSX folder and rename your original folder back to the correct fsx name. That should work and you can keep your current folder with all the setups and add-ons.
May 11, 200917 yr LucYou may be better to post/search here http://orbxsystems.com/forums/index.php, I'm sure this was discussed on the FTX/Orbx forums recently. Can't remember where though!! An epiphany there is a "help file" called FTX_AU_FSX backups which does:In the FTX_AU_FSX_backup\ORBX\Scripts\Backup folder you will find 4 different versions of the original Microsoft FSX files which Orbx modifies: Backup_Acc - If you have FSX: Acceleration installedBackup_RTM - If you have the original FSX installed without any service packs addedBackup_SP1 - If you have the original FSX installed and only Service Pack 1 (SP1) addedBackup_SP2 - If you have the original FSX installed and Service Pack 2 (SP2) addedTo restore your FTX backup to the original FSX files, just copy the files from the folder for your version of FSX into the:ORBX\Scripts\Backup folder in your FSX directory (see below for the right sequence) ** DONT DELETE ANY FILES WHICH ARE ALREADY IN THE BACKUP FOLDER **INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS=========================1. Do an FTX Mode [ON]2. Copy the files for your FSX version into the ORBX\Scripts\Backup folder in your FSX directory3. Now do an FTX Mode [OFF](Optional)4. If you have Vancouver+, Victoria+, UTX or Austria X installed, please run their setup tools again so that your terrain.cfg file is updated with their custom entries. Then you can do an FTX Mode [ON] and their custom terrain.cfg file will be backed up for you.RegardsPeterH
