Random svchost crash after installation

Featured Replies

Hi,recently I tried tileproxy. during the first installation attempt the installation locked; I forced the installation program to close with task manager, restarted the machine and tried to install it again. This time it worked. I uninstalled tileproxy in the same day but since then, svchost randomly crashes, when it happens I can't close any window and can't turn off pc, I have to reset the machine through the front button. Can you think of any reason this problem may be related to tileproxy? My pc is an intel e8400, 4gb ram, 9800gtx+, windows xp 32 sp3Let me now if you need of any other info.Thank you

I can't imagine that it is related to Tileproxy. Why not do a system restore, if you have any recent restore points.IAN

heh I'm afraid I disabled system restore in order to get higher performance...
anyway, the issue started right after installation, uninstalling it didn't fix the problem. I guess it's something related to some hook (is there any?) installed by tileproxy for network access...
Tileproxy has no effect on the system while it is not running, not even the driver is loaded. I am afraid something else is screwing over your system here.
