FS9 viewpoint stuck

Featured Replies

Hi all, at a bit of a loss with this one. Whenever I've tried to start a flight, on some occasions(it only seems to happen with certain aircraft), the viewpoint suddenley looks upwards and gets stuck there, while the aircraft sharply banks to the left. I'm unable to remedy this without restarting the sim. I'm using the Saitek Yoke and Throttle, I've heard of a button press problem with earlier versions of this, but I've been using mine for nearly 6 months without an issues, and it's only happening on certain aircraft. Any ideas?

Sounds like an exact issue we had with EECH, an older helo sim. It turned out to be a joystick config issue. The newer joysticks wouldn't work with the older game until some hacker fixed the exe. That's not solving your issue but it would certainly steer you towards checking joystick compatibility/config issues. Either with the specific aircraft or the installation of your joystick in windows. Its not calibration, it was more centered around what parameters the joystick used when connected to the game. One quick check you can make is to cut your fs9.cfg from its location and place it somewhere for backup. Then start the game and let fs9 recreate your cfg. Then test the issue. If fixed, then copy all the joystick parameters from the new regenerated cfg, paste them over the old parameters in your old cfg, and copy the old cfg back to its original location. Or you could try and spot the issue by comparison. Whatever you find easier. And you may have stated your issue. That joystick combo has KNOWN issues. Things do break you know. Find the old joystick you used before the Saitek combo or borrow one. Take the Saitek out of the loop. Issue gone? Then there you have the problem.Good luck.,
