Anyone know WHY a/i aircraft enteries randomly disappear? As many as half of the [x]'s have simply 'poofed' when I return, sometimes months/years later to add an a/c. Not only that(!) but sometimes an ENTIRE aircraft folder with dozens of enteries ...GONE. Texture folders and model and [.air] remain!I can only imagine that you's'all's can feel the aggrevation (arrrghh) when that happens!It's usually with Project AI aircraft folders that 'poof'', however I have opened some others (ie: Fruit Stand) when individual [x] entries have vanished... as in...gone...nadda...see ya...hasta la vista!I have been doing this FS stuff for over a decade so I 'do' know to 'save' when closing a file.I once asked this question in Ultimate Traffic form's and recieved only blank stares (I'm guessing). Again, this only happens in AI Any help, idea's or condolences are appreciatedThank you's

Here is a thought,...., have you used system restore sometime during those months/years? Seems to me that restoring could possibly be the culprit. If I remember correctly I had the same experience quite some time ago. I can't think of any other likely ( or unlikely ) causes. Hope this has been helpful.Mel

I eventually became suspicious of the pai installer when this happened to me. I don't know if that is unfair, however.

I take it you mean entries in the aircraft.cfg file....If so, I'd say its ANY installer you've used. Personally, I really hate installers - I like to know exactly whats being written to my files, and no programmer is infallible.Most "installers" I've tried werent worth the hassle they've mostly caused afterwards much better if you can just unzip files where you want and check them afterwards.
