ASA Map page

Featured Replies

I have recently installed ASA and find that the map page does not fully depict when running FS9.This is shown in the following images. Before FS9 startedMap_page_before_FS9.jpgAfter FS9 is startedMap_page_after_FS9.jpgIs there a fix for this in the impending SP1 or is this normal?Richard

The first thing you need to do is download and install the latest beta build 431, that fixed a lot of problems with the map for me.http://www2.hifisim.com/Jim

OK thanks for that. I have installed build 431 but still have the same problem. If I close out of FS the map page remains blanked out.It returns to normal when I restart ASA.Richard

Hi,No this is not normal. What are your system specs? Are your video drivers up to date? Thanks,

Hi,No this is not normal. What are your system specs? Are your video drivers up to date? Thanks,
Thanks for the response.Specs are:OS XP sp3 virtually dedicated to FSPentium4 3ghtz2 GB ramNvidia GF 7950GT video card Driver 91.47 forceware80 & 120GB HDsI am a long time simmer and have FS9 running with sliders maxed as near to perfect as I can get it.Video drivers are not the latest but in my experience latest are not necessarilly the best. I get excellent performance from my existing drivers and would be reluctant to change. The onboard X Guage works perfectly. The fact that the map page doesn't seem to work with FS running is not really a problem as once I set up the weather I doubt whether I would have the need refer to the map page during the session.Richard

Hi,Go to the options page and see if setting Force High Priority Processes On or Off makes a difference. This is the first report of anything like this. Thanks,
