Hi team,Since a couple of weeks I am getting cracks in the engine sounds from the MD-11 when using ASA.Every crack show a jitter onscreen too. are 20-25 and no dropping to lower values. This is with build 412 and above.Without ASA no sound issues.What I tried :- ASA only on the second core- ASA not running with high priority- FSX at higher priority than normalUnfortunately no luck.Help is appriciated.

Hi Jim,The sound drivers are up to date.It also happens with other aircraft when using ASA, but only when Cumulus clouds are there.One thing I recently did was the applying the " cloud popping" tweak.I will make it undone and try again.It is a pity that I have a wondrfull scenery + clouds + weather + aircraft and that the only let down are those crackling sounds.

I have tried several settings :- Unlimited- Locked to 26- Locked to 23- Locked to 20- Locked to 16 --> this one gives me the less cracklingThen I tried modifying the bufferpools settings form 70 to 100 to 200 to 300 to 400.No luck.Also I have tried with the FPS Limiter Utility set to 28 and 24.When cumulus clouds are in the picture it is starting , in and out of the cockpit.Framerate is good , so I thought using the FPS Limiter Utility set to 24 give the system enough breathing space. Disabling the cloud popping tweak did not solve it either.I am going to uninstall the Nvidia 185 drivers and install the new 186 beta.

Just did another flight with 3d clouds at a lower resolution.First I thought the crackling was gone , but when the weather started to chnage ( another weather station I guess ) the crackling was back.After updating the crackling was way less.The moment I shut down ASA all crackling was gone and did not return.Even when I was flying with several cloud layers and between many cumulus clouds.Btw the newer beta driver from Nvidia had no influence whatsoever.
