  1. Hello all, I've been flying a lot lately but I rarely encounter turbulence in the cruise. Is there any way of increasing the probability of encountering cruise turbulence? I encounter it in the climb/descent but as I have mentioned, very rarely in the cruise, and when I do, it's only for five minute or so. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Sam.
  2. Hi Jim,I followed your instructions and it's working again. Thanks!Sam
  3. Hi all,I've recently pruchased a new computer due to my old one dying - I've encountered some problems while trying to use ASE...When I start FS and load up at an airport ASE isn't sending weather to the sim - Also, on the main screen the 'lock to closest' is displaying an airport nowhere near me (KSEA) when I'm at (GCTS) I've tried installing ASE again numerous times but nothing seems to work. I've even tried the C:/ASE method, but still that doesn't work. Heres the message I am getting from ASE and also my specs.[quoute]02:20 - ASE load commencing...02:20 - Verifying Active Sky Evolution License02:20 - FS9 Path Value = C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\02:20 - FS9 My AppData Path Value = C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FS9\02:20 - FS9 My Docs Path Value = C:\Users\xxxxx\Documents\Flight Simulator Files\02:20 - ASE settings have been loaded...02:20 - Initializing ASE02:20 - FS station database update not needed (unchanged)...02:20 - World Magnetic Model has been loaded...02:20 - Wx Station Database loaded: 10463 station(s)02:20 - Airports Database loaded...02:20 - Loading Additional Weather Stations...02:20 - FSUIPC (version 3.9.9) found and initialized02:20 - ASE controls initialized...02:20 - ASE v12.0.0.566 Copyright © 2010 HiFi Technologies, Inc., all rights reserved.02:20 - ASE Module has been loaded02:20 - Main Background Wx Engine process has been started02:20 - Sim Interface queue process has been started02:20 - Online automatic download thread has been started02:20 - Random element generation thread has been started02:20 - Voice playback thread has been started02:20 - Virtual station generation thread has been started02:20 - 3 voice sets activated...02:20 - Wake sample and synthesis thread has been started02:20 - Imagery processing thread started02:20 - Thermal Data Loaded: 5 items02:20 - Downloading global weather data for 29/05/2011 01:20:49 (01Z) from Primary Server...02:20 - Start Download Content License Result Check02:20 - Finished Download Content License Result Check in 1.0001 ms02:20 - Start Download File Output02:20 - Saving weather to disk02:20 - Finished Download File Output in 2.0001 ms02:20 - Start Decrypt/Decompress02:21 - Finished Decrypt/Decompress in 6113.3496 ms02:21 - Download Binary Compress File Routine completed in 10557.6038 ms02:21 - Populating weather stream with new data...02:21 - Parsing line items02:21 - Download complete02:21 - Downloading Met/Rep data from Secondary Server...02:21 - Met/Rep Data Received...02:21 - Met/Rep Download complete02:21 - Weather synthesis thread has been started02:21 - Synthesis updated...02:21 - Weather injection thread has been started02:21 - VAS and thermal generation thread has been started02:21 - Data output thread has been started02:21 - Effects simulation thread has been started02:21 - Station data export completed02:21 - **** ASE Initial Weather Synthesis Complete! ****[/quoute]Specs:Windows 7 - 64bitAMD Athlon II X2 245 Processor 2.90GHz2GB RAMAny help would be appreciated.Sam
  4. Not too sure where you got that from but that's not true.It doesn't look like Arkefly use a set CI - This is from yesterdays and todays flights.Yesterdays:JAF523P EHAM-EBBR = 25JAF523 EBBR-MDPC = 25JAF524 MDPC-EBBR = 20TFL363 EHAM-TNCC = 13TFL364 TNCC-TNCA = 13TFL364 TNCC-EHAM = 12TFL489 EHAM-HESH = 13TFL490 HESH-HEGN = 13TFL490 HEGN-EHAM = 11TFL449 EHAM-GBYD = 25TFL450 GBYD-EHAM = 22Todays:TFL335 EHAM-MUVR = 25TFL336 MUVR-EHAM = 19TFL367 EHAM-TNCC = 150TFL817 EHAM-LTAI = 13TFL818 LTAI-EHAM = 13
  5. Ok after alot of messing around it seems to be working. I repaired some registrys and deleted lots of unused files and seems to have done the trick. I hope this problem doesn't happen again because it's been a pain in the backside. Thanks too everyone who helped with suggestions.Sam
  6. Yeah I deleted all remaining folders + registry keys. Still nothing works. I've just tried AIRAC 1104 with the iFly but still doesn't work!Sam
  7. I've tried. As John says he doesn't think it's a magdec.bgl problem. I've re-installed FS four times now and nothing :(
  8. I could understand but it's not pirated. I've asked in the iFly forums but they haven't a clue what the problem is.Also, after the 3rd reinstallation of FS the default a/c seem to be working fine now - Sam
  9. Hi Jure,Thanks for the suggestion. Just tried this but it didn't work. Really not sure what it could be! I don't really want to reformat my whole computer but at the moment nothing is working.Sam
  10. Hi John,Sorry I should have explained a little more about what I have already done.- Uninstalled the iFly 737.- Removed all AFCADs I've ever installed.- Uninstalled FS2004 (deleted the whole microsoft games folder to make sure nothing was left over)As for the magdec.bgl, the only reason I thought of this is because I have seen some screenshots that were similar, particulary inflight with the plane practically showing as flying sideways on the ND!Sam
  11. Default is even worse. On the GPS it shows the runway at a completely (90 degree) different angle...
  12. Hi all,The other day I installed a bunch of AFCADs. I was flying from Tenerife to Malmo with the iFly 737 when my flightplan completely dissapeared halfway through the flight. I quit FS9 and didn't think too much of it. The next day when I went to fly my ND was messed up. The runways were showing on the ND to the left/right a few nautical miles away yet I was sat on the runway with my 737. I read there maybe a problem with the magdec.bgl file so I tried replacing it, no luck. I've re-installed the iFly (despite this happening with other add-on aircraft) & FS2004 and it's still not working! I completely deleted everything from FS2004 yet the problem still remains! The IRS is set correctly and I can't think of anything else that may be damaged.I've asked on the iFly forums but the problem seems to be more to do with FS than the actualy iFly product. I had done 8-10 flights with no problems before the problem occured.Any help would be appreciated, I'm really confused about this.Sam
  13. I'm pretty sure they use CI 13 on all A330 flights. I'll confirm it later when I can check.Ok I've just had a look and it kind of varies. For example, theres a short-haul flight from Manchester to Turin that uses CI 30 outbound and CI 33 inbound. The transatlantic flights seem to use CI 13 alot.Regards,Sam
  14. I had a similar problem landing in Panama a few days ago. I was holding at 3,000ft about to capture the glideslope when all of a sudden my altitude showed 11,000ft. I knew this wasn't right because I could see the ground and was at 3,000ft a few seconds before. The QNH was rapidly changing then for some reason my aircraft started sinking despite max power being applied. Was quite fun but I'm not sure what happened.Sam
