June 15, 200916 yr Hi all,I am just wondering if I use a STAR that requires ATC vectors after the star ends or at a point during the star how does RC handle this? For example I flew NTAA - YSSY shooting the 34L this requires ATC vectors after a point. If I inform RC ATC that I want to fly an IAP it leaves me alone until I am around 6-4 miles from the runway so how will it interact with me if the approach requires vectors after X point in the star.I did try but did not wait for any interaction from RC ATC and just vectored myself on a 90 deg left turn and then a 90 deg right turn again to intercept the ILS. RC ATC did not contact me untill I was 4 miles out for clearence to Land.Am I right in assuming that this is the case and you just have to imagine the vectors self, or do you request Vectors when passing or before the point where ATC vector you, or is there something I am missing? Thanks for the helpJason Chandler

The IAP is pilot "solo" flying. You won't be bothered by RC at all, when it sees you're on final it will pass you to tower. That's it. The vectors option is given you at about 30 miles away when centre passes you to Approach. After that the vectors start (how they work is in the manual). I understand what you mean, but it is not applicable in RC right now. You just have to choose which one you want, you still can change runway and type of approach during the approach, but that's it.Fede Federico Bellato
June 18, 200916 yr You could hold off contacting approach until you are ending the star, then ATC will vector you the rest of the way. Jay Vorkapic
