FS9 Active Sky 6.5 cloud layers

Featured Replies

Hello, often times when I load real weather there will be 3 or more cloud layer listed in the metar. For example, the other day at LAX it was reporting Few 1800, Broken at 2500, and overcast at 3500. However, the ATIS only reads back the few at 1800 and 2500 broken no overcast. This is also what is displayed in the sky. I have no cloud limit set and this happen regardless of whether forced lowest ceiling is on or off. I also notice that whenever the metar is showing clouds above FL200 the ATIS reads back as no clouds below FL200 and the sky will be clear. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Dave S

Hi,The ATIS things are part of the limitations of FS ATIS.For the cloud layers, are you limiting your cloud layers in AS?What are your system specs? Thanks,

Hi,OK its not your specs or layer settings. When you get this again, please take a screen shot of FS and AS and I'll take a look. Thanks,

Jim, here is a screen shot. Metar was reporting 2500 Broken,3500 Broken, 16000 Overcast. This isn't the greatest shot as most of the sky that cannot be seen was clear when this was takenThanks, Dave S
