737NG Takeoff Problem

Featured Replies

I apologize if this issue has been discussed before; I did a quick forum search but did not find anything.I have the following problem with the PMDG 737NG (all series): I can't seem to be able to keep the plane on a straight trajectory on the runway. Very often it pulls to one side (mostly to left but not always!!) and regardless of how much I try to correct the plane still pulls to one side. I've also noticed that this usually does not happen when I choose to begin a flight from the active runway (rather than from a gate or parking slot). I don't think this it is a joystick problem; other planes like the Level D 767 or the Tupolev 154M from Project Tupolev seem to have no problem sticking to a straight path on the runway. Thanks in advance. Matei

Matei,The next time you do a take off run have a look to see if both throttles are up to the stops. Are you using TO/GO for take off? Have you unchecked auto rudder? What controls are you using, and are you using FSUIPC to calibrate them?Justin

Thanks for the response Justin.Regarding your questions: I'm not sure what you mean by "throttles are up to the stops" but I do use TO/GO for takeoff. The auto rudder is checked as far as I know but I will look again to make sure. I use a ST290 Pro (rather primitive) and I've always used the feature within FS 2004 to calibrate it. I don't have the payware version of FSUIPC and wasn't even aware that I could use it to calibrate the joystick.Matei
