MS Force Feedback>(first edition).>>DaveI tried the new entry on the default 172 (mod'ed by Ron F.) and using the CH yoke LE could not take off at any speed - ran off end of runway. Removed the entry and everything was ok again.Robert Tiffany - 933 mhz/gf2-64/XP
May 27, 200323 yr >Changing the MOI is another of the parameters someone>suggested to try - I did it one one aircraft, and it seemed to>help.>>Again, my question is why do WE have to do it on (almost)>every aircraft we download. The short answser Dave, is that it is impossible for any one specific set of parameters to work with every possible combination of control devices! Every stick made will have different response characteristics, and that's not even considering those of us who use yokes and rudder pedals! The very best that any designer can possibly do is to attempt to determine some compromise that will work for the greatest number of configurations. If you would like to see really "fine" control output from a flightsim joystick, you need to moderate the input.Try this for an experiment:Find a yardstick and tape it to the stick. Put the stick on the floor (hold it steady with your feet), and then try flying the most squirrely a/c in your hanger.I think you might just be amazed at the difference!BillAVSIM OmbudsmanFounder and Director,Creative Recycling of Aircraft Partshttp://catholic-hymns.com/frbill/FS2002/images/fartslogo.jpg
