Question for regarding defragging fsx system

Hey Nick, I have read, understood and put into practice your defrag instructions. However, as my new install is going to set up as follows:2 x 300gb raptors in RAID0 controlled by areca 1210 controller card, containing photoscenery1 x 150gb raptor controlled by the areca card, containing my FSX install1 x 1TB western digital caviar containing OS on separate partition, controlled by controller card, rest of the drive containing overflow, back ups, media etc.I thought the instructions might vary. How would you recommend defragging the above setup ? Do I need to worry about positioning files ? ( I have Acronis) I wondered if the type of defrag and sequence would differ from in your instructions which i assumed applied to a single disk install. Would it be better to use access method on the photoscenery files? Does your advice apply specifically to the operating system or to the FSX install as well? Thx in advance, Mark

No difference.. O&O is used EXACTLY the same for every drive in the systemEvery drive gets the exact same types and order of defrags and the exact same number of NAME defrags run back to back with a reboot between each passNo emailin, no pornin, no surfin, no clickin, no nothing.. do not touch the system for any reason while defrag passes are being run

Thx for that Nick. Damn!!! Looks like it will take about 2 days to defrag that lot once reinstalled!!!!Just a quick further question. Can you see any problems making an image of my windows install and copying it over to my new SSD hard drive? Also imaging my FSX install over to the 150GB drive? Or would this be a good opportunity to start from scratch? Presumably, I can copy my sim objects folder over thus saving re installing all my aircraft, and I can do the same with my photoscenery library, just find it again in the scenery library. cheers, MarkOh, and I cant remember where the post was where you detailed the formatting and cluster sizing for new drives, and generally setting up my proposed array of drives and controller card. Was it here or on one of the other boards?
