Holding "ON" and no holding from ATC

Featured Replies

Hallo,Is there any minimal distance between airports when holding option (checked as "ON" in RC's menu) will work?I usually prepare flight plans with distance to fly about 100-150nm and I've noticed that there is no holding from ATC at all.

the last checkpoint has to be a vor, less than 5 miles from the airport, and you have to be flying the plane, and not the rc co pilotjd

Thanx for explanation! So, If I want to practise holdings I always have to fly to airport with VOR no more than 5nm from it?Is it to be more flexible in ver.5? :(

yes and no.the reason for the limitation, is that you have to have something to measure distance to/from.if there is a vor 10 miles past the airport, your holding pattern would be entering arrival/departure airspace.it's on the list, to allow you to be held at any checkpoint in your .pln in v5jd
